SharePoint Online sites are great for organizations to share information with external users.  The issue with this is that Microsoft requires that a Microsoft Account is used to access SharePoint site.  This is not an issue if the external users have a Microsoft Account either through their Office 365 access (Organizational Account) or a personal Microsoft account the is used for other Microsoft services, such as OneDrive, Xbox, or Outlook.com. Else a Microsoft account that uses the external email address will need to be created to get access to the SharePoint site.  Below are the steps needed to create that account.

Starting with the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, Microsoft introduced a new feature to its Outlook Calendar application. Interesting Calendar is an add-on Bing calendar that you can add as an overlay to your Outlook.com calendar.

Currently the Bing calendars features sports from Australian Rules football to Tennis.  By adding the team schedules to your calendar, the team’s game schedule is shown your calendar as an overlay calendar.

OneDrive for Business provides Microsoft Cloud file share for user of Office365 services.  It can be used to replace LAN-based user home directories on network shares. This provides a better use of IT departments resources such as the need to manage low-level storage devices, file servers, and related local system backups. By using the Office365 service, IT staff can focus business related support tasks knowing that this core service is being managed by Office365.  OneDrive provides the user access to their files from any location where they are able to logon to the organization’s Office 365 portal.

The procedure for a step-by-step walk thru on how to create a subsite off of a parent team site for Office365’s SharePoint.

Steps to adding Office365 OneDrive and SharePoint Connected Services to the locally installed Office applications, such as Word.  This makes it easier to point to the online storage provided with an organization’s Office 365 subscription.

This procedure is to be used to copy documents from the on premise SharePoint document library to the online Office365 SharePoint document library.  By using the Windows Explorer features in both version of SharePoint, a user can drag-n-drop files between the different sites.
